F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940) was a novelist and short-story writer. Considered one of the greatest American writers of the 20th century, Fitzgerald wrote four novels, This Side of Paradise, The Beautiful and Damned, The Great Gatsby and Tender Is the Night. A fifth novel, The Last Tycoon, was published posthumously. Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald (1900-1948) was a published author, ballet dancer and visual artist. She was often referred to as the quintessential flapper of the 1920s and was the inspiration for many of her husband’s most famous literary characters.
