Scribbles #332, September 17, 2006

Thanks for a great night at Urban Think! Bookstore. Much love to Bruce Harris for hosting Brad Kuhn and me for a poetry duet on Friday night. It was indescribable to look out over a crowded room and realize how special everyone there is to me, from the Rollins crowd to the spoken word artists to my writing group to the bicycle club to the friends from work. And everyone was so warm; they seemed to enjoy our poems, even when the program ran long.

What fun it was to showcase Brad's talent! His recitation of "Train of Thought" was a highlight of the evening. Ya'll can hear more from him at his next gig, as the featured poet at 7:30 pm at Tuesday Voices, September 26th at SCC's Deland campus.

Celebrations:

One year ago today I met BK at the Kerouac house in College Park. Wanna give a huge shout-out to Summer Rodman, Jack Kerouac, and God for bringing us together. Ya'll done goooooooooooooood!
